GenBeauty 2013
Sexy Hair had a booth at GenBeauty this passed weekend-
I had So much fun meeting girls with similar interest, I actually had stuff to talk about for once! lol
I also had the pleasure of meeting Doe Deere from Lime Crime and Amy from Sugarpill. Both were sweet and left with product to try out ;)
I dont know if I say this enough but I LOVE my job! I've had so many opportunities and things are only going to get better, positive thinking & fingers crossed!

Gracie Awards 2013
My experience at The Gracie Awards yesterday went a little like this....

| Lucy Hale from Pretty Little Liars Going to be honest- I have NO idea who she is BUT I give her BEST DRESSED! She looks her age and that mix and match, LOVE!!! I wasnt big on the cut out of the dress, but it grew on me. And those heels, WANT! She looked amazing and I loved her down to earth personality. |

I cant say how appreciative I am of being able to
attend this event. Being in a room full of strong, hard working women who have
done so much and are being recognized was quit the experience. Reporters and
documentary journalist who risk their lives to cover stories and get their
messages across were so inspiring. Its crazy to think how small of a role women
have had in the past and in some parts of the world still do. I was touched by
the terrifying stories some of them had gone through and it makes me think how
similar all women can be no matter what part of the world they are from.

FIDM Interview
My FIDM Interview is today!
Im a bit nervous, but only because I dont know what to expect.
The admissions process is a bit of work but once I got started I found myself getting more excited about school :)
Here's what I had to do (Every major has a different project)
Major- Beauty Industry Merchandise and Marketing
Imagine you are a Product Representative for a well-known cosmetic company and your job is to develop and launch a new cosmetic or fragrance.
PART ONE:
Describe the average customer for whom you are developing the product. Include the following information:
• Age range
• Gender
• Environment (urban, suburban, country, etc.)
• Income range
• Lifestyle (job, leisure activities, family lives, etc.)
• Values and viewpoints
• Marital status
• Education
PART TWO:
Describe the characteristics of the product and the packaging and WHY it will appeal to your customer. Include the following information:
• Name of the Company
• Function of the product
• Color
• Size
• Shape
• Price point
Important Notes
Use 8.5" x 11" paper and any medium you feel comfortable with, including colored pencils, felt tip pens, watercolors, etc. (but no pastels, chalk, or charcoal).
Be prepared to discuss the types of customers targeted and the types of merchandise shown in your project.
Your work will be reviewed for creativity and quality of presentation. Remember, a neat presentation is always advantageous.
Along with the project I had to write a 2 page essay and get 3 letters of recommendation.
Now I just have to present it to an admissions counselor and fingers crossed that I get accepted!

Healthy Simple Meals
Is it June yet? Cant wait for my Miami trip! At the moment I've been going to a trainer 2-3 times a week and I've been trying to juice every morning- its tough getting up at 5:30! but it'll pay off, I just know it ;)

Long Weekend!
Had Good Friday off which meant I had way too much time on my hands.
Friday was my cleaning day :( nothing fun in that, but Saturday, Saturday was a different story. My dad, oldest brother, boy friend and I all went to a friends place for fish tacos and man were they DELISH! thankfully he's going start selling them every Saturday starting this weekend! So that's where Ill be found ;)
